Paul Gandriau was born in Bouin (Vendée) in 1945.


His fondness for drawing, which he'd had since childhood,

led him to study art by correspondence ;

and at the age of eighteen, he began teaching at St-Gilles-Croix-de-Vie.

His teaching career ended in June 2005, when he retired.

Throughout his teaching career,

Paul developed his talent as a painter and held quite a number of exhibitions:

in St-Gilles-Croix-de-Vie (three times),

Givrand, Saint-Révérend,

Saint-Juire-Champgillon,

Paris, Les Sables d'Olonne,

Le Château d'Olonne, La Chaize-Giraud.
